AWARDS WON BY TRIBUTE ALE |
|
Tribute is brewed by St Austell Brewery and its popularity has grown tremendously in the last year. It was chosen as the South West's top tipple in the Best of British Beer Awards, following a ‘beer election' in pubs across the area by industry watchdog Cask Marque and the Daily Telegraph. Tribute also beat off competition from more than 250 beers from all 58 South West breweries to be elected ‘Supreme Champion' at the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) South West Beer Festival.
As if that wasn't enough, head brewer Roger Ryman was named UK Brewer of the Year and the Brewery announced it was introducing a second daily brewing shift for the first time in its 156-year history to meet soaring demand for its ales, and particularly Tribute, which has seen sales in the South West and across the UK rise 38 per cent compared to 2006. Finally the bottled version of Tribute was voted in the Worlds Top 50 Beers in the International Beer Challenge for the second year running.
Previous years awards include the prestigious Supreme Champion Ale of Cornwall award from CAMRA at the Falmouth CAMRA Beer Festival 2004.

TRIBUTE IS THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE AS THE SOUTH WEST'S FAVOURITE CASK ALE |
 |
The votes are in and St Austell Brewery's Tribute Ale is the people's choice as the region's favourite cask ale in the first ‘Best of British Beer Awards'.
Tribute has been chosen as the top tipple in the South West region - following a ‘beer election', held in local pubs across the area. Cask Marque, which organised the awards in association with national newspaper the Daily Telegraph, accredits pubs serving the perfect pint of cask ale.
The awards have the backing of organisations including the Campaign for Real Ale and the All-Party Parliamentary Beer Group.

TRIBUTE VOTED SUPREME CHAMPION |
 |
Tribute was voted 'Supreme Champion' at the SIBA South West Beer Festival at Tucker's Maltings, Newton Abbot on April 12. This is the largest beer festival in the South West region, with over 250 beers from 58 Breweries in the South West (stretching up as far as Swindon).
Almost every beer brand brewed in the South West will have been tasted, so for Tribute to be voted 'Supreme Champion' shows that we really do brew The best beer in our region, bar none.
Congratulations to Roger and the Brewing Team. |
